More and more companies are looking to incorporate small high-resolution screens into their devices. Whether you are designing the next big thing or sprucing up an old one, a high-resolution color display can set you apart from your competition. Let me guess you’ve found a single board computer and perfect display but when you try to connect the two MIPI rears its ugly head. We have a solution for you, an HDMI to MIPI converter board. This simplifies the process of adding a screen to your product saving you precious time, headaches and money.
Below is the current list of panels that we know work with the board. Let us know if the screen you want is NOT on the list. We are always looking to increase compatibility.

The LQ047K3SX06 and LS047T1SC02 are both very popular panels for use in products such as Apple’s iPhone 6. These are 4.7″ TFT LCD screens manufactured by Sharp featuring a 314 PPI (a relatively high pixel density), 16:9 display designed for use in mobile phones. These screens come with embedded capacitive touch capabilities to make your display solution experience as easy to set-up for the manufacturer as possible, and as easy to interface with on the user end once your product is complete.
An EOL Notice, or End Of Life notice, means that a panel you’re currently buying is reaching the end of its manufacturing process- after a certain date, this panel will no longer be in production. What does this translate to? No more panels for you to put in your product, and therefore products using that panel can be jeopardized. Will you upgrade your panel and subsequently your entire product? What if you need more time to redesign your product? What if you simply can’t redesign at this stage of production?
You’ve done the research. You’ve acquired your design team. Your product is out on the market, and you’re going to ramp up production: except for one hitch. The LCD panel you’re using or planning on using is hard to find or reaching its end of life!
This hard to find panel is widely used for tablet devices. Its built in powerful white backlight and wide aspect ratio make for a comfortable quality viewing experience. Although still currently in production, it is hard to find in the market due to its widespread usage and tendency to sell quickly. For more details, read below! Continue reading
The LQ047K3SX06 and LS047T1SC02 are 4.7″ panels made and manufactured by SHARP. Their size coupled with their portrait type design makes them especially useful in applications requiring portability such as mobile computing and cell phones.
Are you struggling to see your screen in the sun, only to go inside and have an equally difficult time indoors? Backlighting is a necessity for most panels, with most environments having enough ambient light to render your screen unreadable.
Cover glass is a thin layer of material placed and bonded over a display panel, with a variety of uses. It comes in any number of standard see-through (optically clear) materials, such as glass, polycarbonate, plastic, plexiglass, or acrylic, each with a variety of benifits. Glass is standard for regular TFT LCD screens; AMOLED screens with flexibility may require a flexible plastic instead. Acrylic provides a more shatter-proof experience (but cannot be cleaned by isopropyl alcohol: it will attack the surface and dissolve the polymer chains of the acrylic plastics).
The SHARP LQ084V3DG02 is an 8.4″ normally white transmissive panel. Mass production for this panel began late in 2008, and is currently reaching its end-of-life phase. It is very hard to find and is in high demand, as it features a wide range of enhancements allowing for use in many industrial applications.
